At MIDAS Aviation we've been the force behind many of the leading industry benchmarking activities. We were instrumental in developing the very first IATA Airport Monitor which compared what passengers thought of the airports they travelled through, which has now morphed into ACI's Airport Service Quality product and is a major KPI for airports. We’ve worked with clients globally to help them compare and contrast their performance across a range of measures from airport charges to sustainability. And more recently we've provided the thought leadership and analytical framework at OAG which has resulted in the OAG Punctuality League and the OAG Megahubs Index.

The OAG Punctuality League, in particular, shines a light on on-time performance everywhere, creating an environment where the right questions can begin to be asked about on-time performance. What contributes to great OTP? What levers does an airport or airline have to improve performance? Can punctuality play a greater role in messaging to travellers?


Case Study:

WE WERE ASKED TO PROVIDE DETAILS OF BEST-IN-CLASS INCENTIVE SCHEMES OFFERED BY AIRPORTS FOR A CLIENT LOOKING TO CREATE A NEW SCHEME. NUMEROUS FACTORS WE CONSIDERED, ASIDE FORM THE VALUE OF INCENTIVES, SUCH AS THE EXTENT TO WHICH THEY WERE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN, THE TYPE OF AIR SERVICES THAT WERE REWARDED AND HOW THIS WAS LINKED TO STRATEGIC GOALS.

ASPECTS OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE INCENTIVE SCHEMES WERE ALSO EXAMINED SUCH AS WHERE RESPONSIBILITY LAY FOR THEM WITHIN AN ORGANISATION OR GOVERNMENT AND THE EXTENT TO WHICH SCHEMES WERE EVALUATED FOR THEIR PERFORMANCE.
